I find them all the time (oh, students), and I never know what to do -- I mean, it could be the person who lost it, but on the other hand, if it's not, then I feel like I'm really invading their privacy. Ack.

There was an article in the NY Times about a week ago that suggested calling "Mom" on lost cell phones, on the theory that mothers will probably know how to reach the kid and are used to fixing things for them.

This weekend is the children's hospital's annual fundraising fair, which also has a huge flea market, plant sale and bake sale, so I will be sharpening my elbows and getting there early. Then I might invite myself over to megan's to meet her new cat, and then Sunday is brunch and a movie with some other friends.

My mom's not mom on my phone. Nor Mummy, which is what I actually call her. I guess speed dial might be a good shot, not that that gets you to my family either.

Mine neither. I'd probably call the most recent # on the call log on the theory that that person would probably know where they were when the phone was lost.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have Mom, Dad, and Parents in the phone, but they wouldn't know where I was necessarily. Nor would the last person I called, since I go days without making a phone call!
