You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Did I get the wrong handbook?

Probably. There was a big mixup at the printer. We set up a committee to study the problem, installed a chair, and put fifteen people under it, but the committee got shut down by the fire department. It seems putting fifteen people under a chair is a violation of fire safety codes.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, wait, that might be me. I was told yesterday that I was very "East Coast".

You must have been on time to a meeting.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Or committed to a meeting more than a day in advance....

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I'm told that I am "east coast" all the time. This confuses me since I grew up in rural Oregon.

I told you we were doing it wrong. This is why we need to recruit Allyson; she knows all that workplace safety stuff.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I want something more ethnic for dinner tonight than egg salad. I think I'll stop by Pita Inn for some hummus, homemade pita bread and baklava, and chicken shawarma.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

When I lived in San Diego people always asked me if I was from San Francisco - including people from SF. I never lived in SF but was always pleased at the assumption as I was so very not a San Diego type of girl. Don't get me wrong - I loved (and still love) SD, but I'm not a sun lover and I had black, short hair and liked an edgier look, so I didn't really fit the SD mold.

In both Alaska and Minneapolis, the default assumption made by strangers was that I wasn't from there (also that I'm vegetarian, which, huh?). It's been kind of... interesting... to actually look like I belong.

meara - May 20, 2008 1:54:55 pm PDT #8023 of 10001

I'm not sure where I belong, really. I think maybe I want to magically be in a Chicago with different weather. Which, of course, wouldn't be Chicago at all.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

You must have been on time to a meeting.

I was totally gonna ask if meara was expecting something to be on time!
