Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

But what about the bread? What do people use for the bread?

(still really that bored)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

But what about the bread? What do people use for the bread?

Whatever's in the freezer, which is always some sort of wheat.

Granola bread is *ideal* for a peanut butter and banana sandwich, though.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so, my boss has gone. but can I leave? no. I have people coming around 5:30, so there would kinda be no point.

Not that I am doing much work, or have done all day.

I've had one assignment so far today.

It's done now.

Which Buffista said this:

They've taken the trinity and made it a threesome. That's disrespectful.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Gah. Huckabee's a tool.

I don't know how I'm going to make it through the entire election season... I've about used up all my bitter, rageful, and no-longer-give-a-shit just on the primaries.

I'm disenchanted with my candidate, disenchanted with the alternative, horrified by the guy on the other side of the aisle, and completely appalled by the casual racism and sexism leaking out all over the place, not just by fuckwad bar owners (and people closer to hand -- gee, thanks, Uncle P, I really appreciated you yelling on Easter Day about how you'd move to Greece if that bitch won the nomination; please don't wait around, just fucking leave already) but all over the mainstream press--with a side of mildly sickened by how easily so much of the sexist shit is brushed aside.

It's great and cheering how immediately candidates and their surrogates and their supporters in all the campaigns are getting called on racially dodgy remarks and code phrases and dog whistles, but, damn, I'd like to see the same for some of the sexist shit. Even the fuckwad bar owner is getting hammered for his Curious George shirts, but the bar marquee wishing Hillary had been brutally murdered by a violent ex-spouse is already mostly forgotten.

In conclusion, it's been barely 24 hours since the CA court decision, and already I'm back to thinking that people suck.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I've had one assignment so far today.

I've had none! But I did clean out my office. the only things that are mine that are left are three boxes of brads and a coffee and cream candle (along with the stuff already in my bag).

Wee! One more day here (next wednesday!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have some work I'm not doing. But I also have a new desk chair, that I swiped from an empty desk.
