Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

All-girls school on Staten Island enacts rule that girls cannot attend prom without a male date.

I knew someone who went to an all girls school on Staten Island, possibly that one, where (in the name of strict obeyance of uniform code) you were forbidden to wear shorts under your uniform skirt.

"Um" you might ask "How do they know if you're wearing shorts under your uniform skirt?"

A faculty member would stand at the foot of the stairs and look up. So, basically, if Sister Mary Pervington didn't see your underwear you got in trouble.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What provides the butter part of cinnamon butter?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Psst, Jesse is Elvis, pass it on.

Wasn't Elvis into grilled PB and banana? ALSO delicious, btw.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Now I'm wondering why I don't eat more peanut butter, if I like it so much.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I just found the weirdest...well, probably not the *weirdest*...but a weird Internet game.

It's called Six Degress of Wiki Hitler.

You go to Wikipedia's home page, choose a random article and, using only links within the articles, get to Adolf Hitler.

For instance:

What people will do to amuse themselves...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You go to Wikipedia's home page, choose a random article and, using only links within the articles, get to Adolf Hitler.

It sounds like an idea for a YouTube game I had, where everyone started with the same video, and you'd see who could end up farthest afield from the original video by clicking on the Related links.
