The tax rebate is an advance credit for tax year 2008 and will be calculated on your 2008 return. If you're due a higher payment, you'll get the remainder next year when you file. If you received a higher rebate (payment) than you should have, you DO NOT have to pay it back. [link]

I got my rebate last week and it's gone.
In related news, I just spent a boatload on a waterproof jacket in case it rains this weekend while I'm riding. I hope spending all that money ensures that it will be sunny and pleasant. That's how the universe works right?
Other thing I got this afternoon was some lucky bamboo from my Chicago um...friend to wish me luck on the ride. so sweet and unexpected!
