Natter 58: Let's call Venezuela!

I'm stunned by the story of the woman, eight months pregnant, who was pulled out of rubble after two days. That's just incredible.
The epicentre was (I think) over 60 km away from Chengdu, so it missed the brunt. But near the epicentre, a township of 10,000 lost about 75% of the population (current count), most of the other 25% are injured.
Oy. That's just unspeakable.
I'd have given you a whole loaf, but my coworkers were particularly burdened today, so you got screwed. I'm glad there was ANY left.
hah! Well, a whole loaf would have been too much for me. I mean I could have taken it with me on Friday to share with the other riders, I guess, but really that is a hearty 1/2 a loaf! And delicious! I had a sizeable chunk toasted with butter this morning. Yummy! (Also, a piece of toast w/ avocado...it's possible I'm carbo loading way more than I need to be.)
Hah! I just spent $10 on...something.
The numbers this morning are horrifying. 15,000 dead, another 40-50 thousand missing. Between natural disasters and man made disasters the news is very upsetting stuff. Bombs in India and Spain, in addition to the usual places of course.
oy, what a morning.
as to be expected with staying up so late, I slept in, mac meltdown as we were getting ready to walk out the door (was because of stuff at school yesterday that he did not tell me about), no bananas at the corner fruit stand so he did not get one for his snack at school, local train instead of express this morning, no seat. whine grump groan. need coffee.
Hah! I just spent $10 on...something.
Ooh, that's so much fun! It's like getting a present from yourself -- and it's a surprise!
I'm really tempted to try that Something store.
I should start a something store out of my apartment.
