Poor bon bon, I'm guessing you weren't actually trying to solicit advice on the matter.
No, I mean, I do know Broseph and PP and have given it a lot of thought already, I wasn't soliciting advice. But I don't mind people discussing it; it's just the kind of thing buffistas would discuss. And maybe I do need someone else's POV. So go forth and speculate.
The thing is, I can understand how Broseph feels. If the woman that cheated with my boyfriend was going to be at my sister's wedding, I wouldn't be pleased. I'd probably still be a little pissed at my sister for being her friend. BUT, I would say "I really would rather not see that bitch, but I want you guys to be happy on your wedding day. Just don't sit her at my table and tell her not to talk to me"
Yeah, I completely understand Broseph not wanting to talk to PP, though a lot of time has passed (and he forgave the Gladiatrix; but that's probably because he's a bit misogynist). It's inappropriate to make demands on *us*. We shouldn't have any problems inviting whomever we want to OUR g-d wedding. But I don't want to start out on that foot with Broseph and F-MiL.
Why can't these sailors develop a perfectly good toy boat fetish?!
I think I might have an obsession with the fetish. Because I am trying to investigate it again!

TOTally, but that's family for you.

Has anyone ever come up with... additional documentation?
Wow, I really would have expected Edward Gorey to look a lot more like something out of Edward Gorey. Fun!
He did kind of. He wore sneakers and a full length fur coat to the ballet, and had earrings and big rings even as far back as the early sixties.
I can only sidestep into my best Christine Lavin voice and say, "What was he thinking?"
FredPete, I'm so happy someone else knows this reference.
The Edward Gorey picture made me wonder - is there any pet that's more goth than a cat? Besides, I guess, a bat....
