HA!

I should sign up for Bay to Breakers. I think I'm off either the week before or week after.

I just made reservations to go to Vegas to see my mom. My poor mom is having a rough patch, with Gracie being Gracie and my sister having cancer and now being on the transplant list, she's got a lot of stress going.

She's staying at the Flamingo and I didn't make reservations early enough so I missed the cheaper $85 room. The only rooms left are $125. For an extra $30 I could stay at the Bellagio. For $5 less I could stay at Mandalay Bay (my fave). But the point is not to vacation in Vegas but to see my mom. So I ponied up the money to stay the Flamingo. Sigh.

READ: whichever publisher PAYS for the self space. It is FRAUD.

But if it were bestselling at the BN he mentions, wouldn't they have sold more than 1 copy in the interim of him checking (and buying 2 of the 3 sold) and now?

I couldn't afford it.

This is entirely understandable. The exchange rate is ridiculous right now. Still, would have been great to have a Buffisa visit! Especially a gay rugby Buffista visit. It's the best kind, I imagine.

well, almost. Buffista who is a gay rugby fan. Still, fun! I love Ireland. For my 30th, my BFF and I rented a car and drove the southern half, from Shannon to Dublin. So much fun.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Are the Ron Paul books the ones being bought in bulk? Are they the ones with the NYT dagger?

Bay to Breakers

Watch out for the tortillas -- they make the start slippery. And the clothes that people shed make for lots of stuff to trip over (but I was expecting that, nsm the tortillas).

I hope your trip to Vegas is good for you and your Mom, Kat.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Graph of oil prices 1861-2008, in 2008 dollars: [link]

Even expressed in current dollars, oil is more expensive than it's ever been. We just broke the old record of $109.69 (2008 dollars) set in 1864.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Kat, you are a good daughter.

I need more coffee before I can finish up these grades. This weather just begs for coffee!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

B&N and Borders have sold display space to publishers for quite a long time now. Welcome to the way the modern economy works, Ron Paul supporter....
