So, I am looking for a shoe storage solution. I think this is BRILLIANT [link] But my shoes aren't pretty enough to justify a wheeled public display.

Aimee, sorry to hear about your job. No one needs more stress.

what is this phone book of which you speak? free coffee is a win though. I put off the talky voice of fiscal irresposibility in my head and held out for free office coffee this morning. I am not sure what it is in my head that just wants to go buy stuff. I think I actually like the office coffee better than the DD.

My parents got into the most hilarious argument last night on the phone. They were actually getting really irritated with each other and Dad was about to hang up until I started laughing hysterically.

The subject of the argument? Whether it is their 39th or 40th anniversary after being married for 40 years this September. (Mom was wrong, but has math issues and no amount of explanation was overcoming those issues and Dad has stubborn issues, so.)

I'm taunting them with this one everytime they start arguing on the phone.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Kat, we have a shoe wheel here at the office - be warned, it's bigger than it looks online. (The co-worker who bought it assumed it would fit under her desk. It does not.)

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Kat, thanks so much. I really appreciate that.

I'm now applying for state health coverage for Em.

Yeah, it's like a yard tall, right? That's a problem. Hmmm....

I don't have a tape measure here, but it hits me about mid-thigh. I'm 5'6".

Kat, if you have extra closet space, I use this [link] which I found to hold the most shoes for the least amount of space. For out in a room or by a front door, I think I'd use these [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck finding an awesome new job, Aimee.

I just interviewed someone I quite liked! I'm afraid this job would be boring for her, though.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm afraid this job would be boring for her, though.

Isn't it your job, as a manager, to crush other people's spirits?
