When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

The status is NOT quo.

Checking the Buffista map, I finally realized that Tamara was in LA. How did I not know this? Clearly I am oblivious.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks, tiggy.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Hi. I skipped a whole bunch. I don't get to hang out here as much as I used to, and I miss it, and you guys.

I had that sort of underscored this week when I met a bunch of women friends for coffee. I kept glancing at the earrings one of them was wearing: three graduated rings dangling from a vertical piece. If you held the vertical piece out horizontally, the rings would hang down, each one larger than the next.

Finally, I couldn't suppress the association any longer. "Why are you wearing gates of hell earrings?"

Nobody got it. I felt like Xander. "I miss my board. They'd get it."

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Nobody got it. I felt like Xander. "I miss my board. They'd get it."

And we would most certainly say something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Welcome back, Beverly.

I think I'm watching the last filmed ep of Daybreak. I am now sad. Then again, less bumming out than reading about the messed up Gay(e)s.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I don't want to think of Marvin Gaye as being messed up. I've already lost Miles Davis by knowing about his private life.

Had a good day today. Yoga. Shortbread. Pasta Papa. And a Very Smiley Grace.

Happy mother's day indeed, Kat.

Aww, what a smiley girl!

I took Mom a large-print card, a box of chocolates, and some little girl hair accessories. Her hair has gotten so thin that regular combs and covered rubber bands and scrunchies just slide right out, so I took her lots of those woven chenille rings in the tiny size, some tiny "side combs" and some of the small-size pinchy clips with big handles. I combed out her hair and put it up for her. And then I sat with her at supper and cut up her food so she could eat it with the fingers of her left hand. She can't manage a fork with the cast on her right hand.

It was a nice visit.
