Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, bring it on. I don't have the energy to actually avoid pain at this time.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

It's still all weird on mine, and it looks just like worldcrossing!

ETA: never mind, that'll teach me not to check BBAB first.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

OK, someone explain to me how this new McDonald's sandwich is "Southern style"

I think they're trying to say it's like Chik-Fil-A, to which I say um, no.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

It's trying to be Chik-Fil-A but falling short. The breading isn't anywhere near sweet and crunchy enough.

That said, since it's the closest thing to Chik-Fil-A I can get out here, I've eaten it twice.

ike, $60 not spent on new clothes is $60 that I can spend on trapeze.

Heh. It's all your fault I spent $60 on clothes earlier today, Hil! You said there were nice shirts at the Gap, and i went there, and boom! $60 gone! (i got two tshirts, one tunic/dress thingie, and a bikini top that I probably won't ever wear but it was $10)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I am at the point where I can possibly think about spending money on clothes (aside from replacing essentials that have worn out, like shoes) again, what with work coming up sometime in the not-distant future.

not your mom's socks.

Ita - it looks great from here! Thanks for wrassling the scripts.

So I go to get Iris up this morning, and she greets me with:

"I. WANT. MY. DADDY!!!!"

which could be heard all the way to Kat's house, I think.

I was all 'Cool, daddy got me Michael Chabon's new book for mothers' day, so I'll catch you later,' but I said something like "Happy Mother's Day to you too -" and she cranked up this hugenormous smile and said "Happy Mother's Day!! ... Let's Go wake Gigi up to wish her a Happy Mother's Day... and then Daddy TOO!"

ah. At least my books still love me.

also, there are some amazing postcards over at TWC and on the Flickr group... and if I haven't pestered you yet, please know it is only a matter of time before I overcome my natural tendency towards clutching my coffee in quiet and say 'hey, where's yours?' So beat me to it [SuziQ, msBelle, Aims, DavidS & JZ, Flea, ..., anyone with a parent who has ever traveled somewhere, and you amazing aunts and uncles who like to run off with your nephlets and niecelings, I'm looking at you...]

hip deep in pie

Things look shinier, slightly different, and dare I say, slightly speedier.

I think a plumber is to be called tomorrow. For the errant bottle in the toilet. It seemed to be fine, but it's definitely slow to drain now.
