What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

David, that sounds like my version of hell.

Can any of you hold the pose shown in figure 3?

the tripod one? I could do that much easier than a handstand, I think...but I think it would have to be tilted slightly differently than in the figure, to not fall over.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Isn't a tripod with your head also on the ground? That seems to keep being my problem -- I can't tilt far enough forward to be balanced right without my head hitting the ground. And if I try to hold my head up so that doesn't happen, it messes up my balance.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This week on fun with x-posts:

Is there a French exclamation roughly equivalent to "Oh, what the hell," only a little more polite? Like, something a gentleman would say in front of ladies he respects. The context is that he's agreeing to a somewhat reckless plan.

OMG! SPACE!

Not sure we're quite hitting that 19th century tone there. Though my French is pretty bad, I could be missing some nuance.

I think I've worked there in my nightmares. I would die.

Art Crawl!!!

I finally got around to saving the first of the Sarah Jane Adventures to tape and discover that tivo had kept the first half and lost the second. Sigh.

Well, the first one isn't that good anyway.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Other than the cats chasing each other around, its quiet here.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My binging on procedurals (Criminal Minds passed, Cold Case did not) has given me a goal. I want to be an autopsied corpse. Not one who has to do any acting--I just want to get made up and lie there all eviscerated.

I so read that wrong at first.

sara, that's the cutest bat skull EVER. Also love the pics of the kids further back in the photostream.

I need to get dressed, but the only pair of pants that fit (staring balefully a them) need to be hemmed by about 5 inches.

GR. ARGH.
