Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

I wish I could help with the dosages, but I'm notorious for throwing away the boxes and going "oh shit"!

New puppy?

I'm way too fond of my (supposed to be dad's) bronze fruitbat skull. It fits so nicely in my hand and I can put it on my fingertip like a puppet and it's just so neat and I keep trying to figure out how they made the cast. And I'm rubbing off a lot of the blackened patina. (The gallery manager has my # in case any other batty skulls come in from this artist. Yay!)

It's just...neat.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think we need a picture of your fruitbat skull, sarameg.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

New puppy is cute.

I had a free haircut. And she fixed my color for not much more ($30!) And she's going to do my brows for free next!

Aww, Hec is going to be so sad about being stuck at his internetless temp job.

I'm pretty sure that Hec is still pulling for me to go with the Carrie-Ann Moss as Trinity haircut. I think I need to lose twenty pounds before I could attempt anything that sleek.

It looks a lot more blackened in person than under the camera and desk light w/o flash: [link] (on my finger that desperately needs a manicure) and face on: [link]

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Our new dog is settling in nicely. Poor dude is not used to being inside and keeps pacing. Earlier, he fell asleep STANDING UP, which was adorable. One of our cats is out and Truman is fascinated with her. She is evilly taunting him, by staring, meowing and temptingly dangling her leg off the dining room table. So far, the doggie responds well to "NO" and has not given her the drubbing she so richly deserves.

Oh, Scrappy, that's adorable and pathetic. He's so lucky to have found you guys. He can sleep lying down and ignore the evil kitty.

That is adorable, sarameg.

So is the puppy story, scrappy.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Googling for trapeze info found me this book on hand-balancing from the late forties: [link]

Can any of you hold the pose shown in figure 3? Because I can't. I can do a handstand, but I just cannot figure out how to do that pose. Tried a bunch of times, kept falling over. Cannot work out my balance there. Is it a center of gravity thing, or am I doing something wrong, or what?

Yes, true, but I really liked the last bob too.

Kat has new hair and msbelle has new hair about which she is dubious.

I think it's time for msbelle to get back to that platinum blonde pixie cut.

I have had the most grueling temp job in ever. I have made 232 phone calls in the last two days. It's not cold calling, but it's just a notch away. Plus, it's for all the Department of Public Works civil engineers in Northern California, which means I had to wend my way through a never ending series of municipal phone trees. Feh.
