"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

But now it's done! YAY!

Apparently I slept through the dog waking up Noah at 11:30. Noah stood in his crib screaming and I just rolled over and stayed asleep. I win the bad mom award.

well this one little part is done. Basically I am not paying this lawyer and I think I am getting what I pay for. She seemed pretty unorganized and lame when I met her at the end of Feb, but I kinda need this to be free, I am looking at new expenses of $900-1200/month through the summer. Anyhoo - I am calling her today with the info, and letting her know that I will now be calling her once a week(reminders I am putting on my calendar) to check status and get direction.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

“There seems to be this sort of perfect storm of interest in steampunk right now,” Mr. von Slatt said. “If you go to Google Trends and track the number of times it is mentioned, the curve is almost algorithmic from a year and a half ago.”

twitch He means "logarithmic." He probably should mean "exponential."

(Sorry.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Noah stood in his crib screaming

He's standing! I'm missing so much...

Not that's the takeaway from your post. He'll be just fine, kat. This won't occupy any time in therapy, really.

doesn't this mean that the whole thing is kinda over for the core group? Being covered in the NYT and generating that level of popular interest, doesn't it bring in too many steampunks-come-lately?

11 residences in the last 15 years people, I was nomadic. I think that might put me off looking for a move in my near future. The economy may make a move necessary, but I am nto going to look for a nearby move anymore.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

doesn't it bring in too many steampunks-come-lately?

Crap. Another trend I've ruined by being myopic.

Sounds like a bad dog award would be more to the point.

Yay map! Except with my new zip code it put me in Mexico. Which I'd really rather anyway, so yay map!

not your mom's socks.

I loves the map. yay Ita.

was tweaked into finishing a semi-rant that I've been thinking about for a while, following yet another admonition from [nonprofit] to "not use annoying technical words." Fact is, me? Not. That. Technical. Really middle of the road, multi-focussed dabbler. Not that un-technical either. Still, annoyed. I could use a reality check to see if I'm completely off the rails, stating the obvious, or just shouting at the rain. If you have time and eyeballs, it's here [link]

eta because at first I didn't want to annoy, then changed because I didn't want to ask people who might be helping to jump through 1 million hoops.
