Does anyone have recommendations for a good sneaker (for walking, with lots of hills and stair climbing) for high arches and underpronation?
Megan, I have high arches and underpronate badly -- I love New Balance shoes. In fact, I think if you go to the New Balance Web site and search on "supination," it should turn up a lot of shoe recommendations.
t edit
I can't remember which New Balance shoe I wear, but it helps me tremendously. The wear pattern on it is almost normal, which NEVER happens when I wear any other shoe.
good sneaker
I love my Sauconys - [link] Totally comfortable (even after being on my feet for days at a con) and super cute, too.
For all of those Doctor Who, specifically David Tennant fans, the first publicity photo of him as Hamlet. I want tickets for this, too, damnit!!
He looks oddly like Bradley Cooper to me there.
hivemind -- what is the code that you type into your cell phone to block the number from caller ID? I'm at home today with the workmen, and I have to return some calls.
Megan, have you checked out the Shoe Dog?
Vortex, Google says it's *67.
I'm always walking on the outsides of my feet, so I guess I'm another underpronator. I'll have to get those New Balance shoes, I think.
Today I am all about petty irritation. Pick up your feet when you walk! Don't use the bathroom stall next to mine when the other eight are standing empty! Take a step back from the elevator buttons so I don't to have to invade your personal space just so I can get to my goddamn floor! I don't care if the space is huge in this revolving door, if I don't know you, then you don't get to smoove in behind me, jackass!
In conclusion: don't stand so close to me.
Megan, have you checked out the Shoe Dog?
Oh cool! It pulled up the Mizunos that I have, I'm pretty sure, as being one of the ones that would be my ideal.
I actually don't think that supination is all that uncommon. I have high arches and I supinate. I ended up getting orthotics for running shoes which corrected the problem.
