I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So Book Expo is next month here in LA. I need to register. Anyone wanna go with me?

Yeah, I'm definitely going, my publisher is supposed to send me a ticket, but I haven't heard anything.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

56. Create a play-list in which ten seemingly random songs provide a secret message to one person.

...Wait, is this the list of skills a man needs, or the list of things a Nice Guy (tm) will do while stalking his perfect lady?

I can think of a lot of skills a man needs that aren't on that list, number one of which is the skill of not pulling the "let me fix that for you, little lady" crap with me.

In return, I can teach him how to score a ball game.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm always curious, though--because I know my own image of my body is messed up, so I would love to see lots of other women my height and sizes smaller and bigger so I can compare.

not to mention that women's sizes don't make any damn sense. I am 2" taller than my best friend, we probably weigh about the same, but the weight is distributed totally differently, my shoulders are much wider than hers, and my legs are probably 4-5 " longer than hers (I'm short waisted), but we wear the same size. WTF?

Allyson, I'm gonna register for a one day ticket because I think I'll only want to go one day. Mebbe we can coordinate on a day?

When I rule the universe, instrument developers will not be allowed to design data products. Good god, I've been having the same headache for 10 years and it's only getting worse.

46. Tell a woman's dress size.

Unless this skill involves getting her out of the dress and looking at the label, I think Esquire is setting up unreasonable expectations of clairvoyance for its readers.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Allyson!

Considering how non-uniform dress sizes are, telling a woman's dress size from looking at her is a crapshoot at best.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But an exciting way to live.
