How's your house project coming along?

Good, as far as I can tell! I need to post the pictures I've taken. All the drywall is up and the electrical (of course, done before the drywall) and he's working on the plumbing now I think.

Soon I'm going to have to decide about flooring and I just don't know!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ha. That picture has attitude.

I should! I'm not even sure what exactly my options are going to be. I know Armstrong tile and parquet. Ceramic tile is an option but I think too expensive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You want tile-ish? My parents just put a bamboo floor in their kitchen, and it's niiiice.

We've thought about doing that too. I just don't know! I can't picture how it will look.

I hear that it's really soft, and if you have a lot of people with high heels, it will leave marks in the floor. But, I just read that in an article about some chi chi store in NY that had bamboo flooring, so it could be crap.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

According to my floor-installing-ex, bamboo in high-traffic places (like restaurants and stores) needs to be refinished every six months. Luckily, since it's soft, the refinishing is very easy.

Oh, yeah, I've seen pictures it's just hard for me to picture in context with the cabinets (white) and counters (oak, possibly stained coffee colored, butcher block) I'm getting.

I hear that it's really soft, and if you have a lot of people with high heels, it will leave marks in the floor.

I heard that too...possibly here? My problem with that is, as always, with the pets. Their why I can't have anything nice! Anyway, sturdier would be better.
