And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just had a moment of oldness, which only people who listened to early 90s R&B will understand. I was looking at a group of 55 teen girls, and TWO of them were named Jodeci. JODECI! The girls were born in 1992, so you know "Forever My Lady" was super special and meaningful to the mothers.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For the francophiles and Smiths fans, something I spotted elsewhere and wanted to share:

Something that always struck me about Johnny Marr's name was that it's an almost-homonym of the phrase "j'en ai marre" (meaning "I'm fed up"). I did wonder, briefly, whether this was some kind of pseudonymic nod to French existentialism. - Patrick Cates

His real name is Johnny Maher.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Moving has caused me to lose weight and now I have droopy drawers.

I plan to paint this weekend, and put in my order for the wall tattoos today so I can put them on the weekend after. And then my living room will be halfway done!

Yikes. I need money for chairs and bookshelves and fabric. I hate waiting.

Hell, they might have been conceived to that song!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Speaking of losing weight, I have lost 7 lbs so far! In a few days, I will be able to fit into my size 12 summer clothes (well, I can fit in them now, but only in a muffin-top kinda way). In another month I hope to be able to be able to fit into my 10s and 8s. Which better happen, as there's no money right now to buy new ones.

Go you, Scrappy! I could lose a few for optimal summer clothes fittage myself.

THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL OLD, JESSE.

I know, right??

Hell, they might have been conceived to that song!

They totally were. "Come and Talk To Me" = the parents' song pre-conception, "Forever My Lady" = their song afterward.

Punishingly Intricate

I feel like I have no good spring/summer clothes (regardless of my weight). However, in no segue news, possibly the Most Rock picture of me ever was taken on Saturday night:

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Looks like I miscalculated that whole "can go into work thing" after all. Upon standing up it just seemed dramatically less plausible. So we're going to try less verticality and less mobility and see what we can do about still maximising productivity.
