If I was married, I would certainly work part-time and take mac out of afterschool. I appreciate the socialization he gets there, but I could set up weekly playdates, even alternating ones to give each parent a break.
Still my place is cheaper than most and they do a great job with homework and exposing the kids to music, drama, yoga,..
you're so sara. And a doll.
I just feel confused, torn and lacking. I want to fix so much, and yet don't know when my fixings are needed or necessary or what. So I fire at the dartboard. If that make me whatever, I guess I can accept that.
Life's a helluva lot more confusing once you are actually considered a grownup.
And now I'm going to nibble on some hummus.
I wish I had humus to nibble on. I have soy crisps (almost typed soy crips which I am not quite sure what those would be) and I went to an hour long yoga class. It was like bite sized yoga.
Bed time today was especially fraught and bad. Noah cried for 10 minutes. There were no tears. But very very very angry yells.
I wish I had humus to nibble on.
Lord, I hope you mean hummus.
bahahahah. typos get me again. yes, I meant hummus. Sigh. Too tired to think.
My newest I don't have time for this but I want to do it anyway, I just submitted measurements and ideas to the elfa people at the container store to redo one of my hall closets.
I have this deep, 33" deep, closet that is all just shelves. The deep shelves just get messy, so I am thinking of putting in an L shape of 12" - 14" deep shelves, then a hanging bar that will allow for 18" of long coats, and one shelf across the top for all the storage space to the ceiling - then a bar of hooks on the backside of the door for bags.
Oh, my, GOD you guys. I went to the first trivia night I've been to in almost five years. The Big Quiz Thing, [link] which I'd always heard of as the top NY bar trivia night, and as such, been wary of-- sure, I was on a top team on A2, but this is the city with 8 million residents, most of whom are in publishing. This is the big one. I thought we might get middle of the pack. Our team of five ladies-- who usually get middle of the pack-- TIED FOR THIRD! And guess who was credited with our stunning placement? THIS GUY! I carried the team to third place in a highly competitive trivia field! I am drunk, but also, super-impressed with myself, and carrying two random books-as-prizes. YAY ME!

It looks sorta' scifi-ish, like the type of ship Jabba the Hutt would have if he lived on a planet with oceans.
My great-aunt Millie used to steal silverware and salt and pepper shakers from restaurants. Family dinners at her house, nobody had matching silver.
I loves me some drunk bon bon.
