Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Virgin mobile customer service sucks. This is not news, I'm sure.

Ok, the thought of a mobile customer service for Virgins is cracking my shit up.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

The wedding was lovely, and the reception was nice. Sat with various folks we know, some of who constructed a series of "sculptures" out of (plastic)champagne glasses, napkins, wooden skewers and favors(mesh bags of candy). Beware of bored geeks. :)

Just ate a nice springy lunch while I've got the laundry going.

My brother sent me a short movie of T crawling and laughing hysterically. With his forehead pressed to the floor. He apparently does this sometimes and gives himself rugburn. My brother calls him "my little snowplow. " They are all demented, but they are my demented.

OK, so yesterday it was supposed to be all sunny and shit, and today all rainy. Yesterday, it took until well into the afternoon for the haze to burn off, and as far as I know, it hasn't rained since sunrise today.

Because books.

Any Superman fans about?

If so, anyone want to volunteer what you think are the major sacrifices Clark has to make in his role as a hero?

Signed,

Fervent Batman Girl

(This is for an essay about Supernatural, and will amount to little more than an example, but I thought it was worth asking.)

Art Crawl!!!

Hmm, so John is like Batman if Batman had had kids.

(No wonder I have sympathies for John.)

Art Crawl!!!

But here's another thought: unlike Batman, Superman is not naturally distrusting. He believes in the good in people - I think he sacrifices a bit of that with his job.

I now remember why these capris were stuffed in the back of my closet. They are really comfortable until I move, and then it's really easy to walk out of them.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Huh. The Berwyn Spindle was demolished Friday night.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'd never heard of the Spindle, and now I'm sorry I never got to see it.
