The Ethiopian restaurant I go to does a wonderful lentil dish that is the tastiest thing ever -- and generally I don't like lentils and other beanlike things. Get the chicken in the red hot sauce and the lentils in the milder yellow sauce, and lots of t'eff bread... yum!
I spent the day in programming class, and actually got my final project actually kind of working -- manipulating a web service that will give you theatre and movie listings for a given zip code into a format that lets you look up showings by theatre, movie, or showtime. The instructor seems very happy with me. :-)
OK, I have the tofu marinating and the rice in the rice cooker. Another 40 minutes or so, and I will have dinner. And then I will do laundry, because I really need to do laundry and I keep putting it off.
Theo - that sounds like Doro Wat (chicken hot red sauce) and shiro (lentil yellow sauce). I can make the Doro Wat and mac will approve, but he is not a shiro fan (I am), so I have not tried making it at home yet. You may like Miser Wat which is the lentils in the hot red sauce as a good combo of the two. I have a new recipe for injera (the t'eff bread) that I plan to try out the next weekend I am not dead tired.
Oh my god. I'm weeping over the Derby. Poor Eight Belles, I can't believe.
White font for those not watching:
She came in second, but broke both front ankles. They euthanized her right there on the track. Poor girl.
Oh, jesus, brenda. I completely forgot it was on, and wow. I can't even imagine.
That's heavy, brenda.
These are some meeting doodles.
God, the courtyard is alive with the burbling of toddlers. I'm so fucking grinchy, but I hate the common spaces noise.
How odd. They seem to only make two designs of shirt. Is that an example of long tail? I do think it's kinda weird seeing kids in political clothing, but I'm willing to forgive a lot for a good joke. This? Not quite a joke, I guess.
That's awful, Brenda.
I went over to Oakland to have lunch with Sparky and her DH. It was fun, but they forced me to buy this clock
Then I got caught in a traffic jam because there was a bad accident on the other side of the freeway that people on my side had to gawk at, and now I am home. I should be cleaning, but I think it is naptime instead.
Hee. That's very cute.
I'm waiting for Doctor Who to upload to where I can watch it on my TV, and in the meanwhile, I've found new internet.
I don't know if anything on the site is actually for sale, but this is ethereally pretty and this is kinda funny.
Seems a kid outside wants to name her unborn baby sister Chocolate Ice Cream. How thoughtful.
