"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For those interested in the story about the softball player who got carried around the bases here's a picture. You can see how tiny she is (5'2" = three inches taller than Emmett) and why that was her first home run.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Why had I never heard of the movie The Specials before? Does it suck? Should I not bother with it?

It's kind of slow going, but I enjoyed it. Paget Brewster is great in it, and time and meta have made Rob Lowe's part far more entertaining than it was when filmed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

OMG, just had the most amazing breakfast. I made some french toast with soy milk. I didn't have any vanilla so I threw in a bit of almond extract. Then when it was done I threw some Morningstar fake bacon into the pan. While I was getting that out of the fridge, I noticed I had some frozen peaches, so I mixed those up with a little sugar and some more of the almond and threw them in the pan once the bacon came out. Yum!

Also, while veggie hot dogs got immediately rejected, fake bacon passed the dog test handily. Huh. It was pretty tasty.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sounds yum, brenda.

I've heard, though I've never tried it, that mixing a bit of chickpea flour into the soy milk makes really great French toast.

still in my pjs here too. did not have a good night and woke up all congested. After we get some food, we are taking a Target trip. In the meantime, I think I will call another of mac's friends since the first one I called is a no go for a playdate and mac needs someone that is not me to play with him this afternoon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just woke up for reals (I had some awake moments starting about 5:00, but I ignored them) and am also all congested and in PJs.

I am supposed to leave the house in half an hour too, so I can run errands before I go to brunch.

To sum up, coffeeeeeee
