Aww, thanks Kathy! The good thing IS that I know lots of people in Chicago that I'd be happy to have dinner or a drink with....I just realllllly want to be home in my own bed.

Yes, thank god, I've got a new cellphone-broadband card for the work computer.

I think right now they're anticipating us getting in twenty minutes before the other flight takes off. Maybe. Right now we dont' have a plane. I'm just saying, they SHOULD"VE put me on the earlier flight...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, meara!

Everyone should anticipate me being obsessed with the calorie counts everywhere for a while. In the window of Dunkin Donuts just now: "Free Iced Coffee Day! 25 calories."

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My mom went for a while to a residential weight-loss program (she was there for about three weeks, and then following the program at home for about a year) that was about 1200 calories per day. She said that at first she felt hungry, but then after a little while, it felt like the right amount to eat.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When I was tracking my diet on Fitday, I never once believed its calorie count - it always pegged me at around 1400-1600 calories a day, which I just plain knew wasn't the case. Eventually I gave up on it altogether.

The only thing that's ever been helpful for me in losing weight was going off the pill. I pretty much dropped 20 lbs overnight without trying.

Yeah, but then you got knocked up.

Oh right... I guess there was one other side-effect.

But actually I didn't notice the weight loss until after he was born. All my pre-preggers clothes are loose now.

Having a lot of migraines made me lose 25 pounds...the weight loss was nice, but I don't really recommend the method.

Of course, the migraines are back, but now that I've had them for so long, I've gotten used to eating even when I'm feeling nauseated, so I don't think it'll help. I"m contemplating new prophylactics, after three migraines in the past week--I hear you lose weight on topamax, even as you lose your mind?

Am in O'Hare, flight to start boarding v. soon. Fingers crossed, but it looks good. WHEW!
