Oh my lord. Hi! Here's a new way to get your neighbors to HATE YOU.

This is my favorite comment on the Pooch Porthole:
of all the horrible poorly conceived inventions in the world, this one is the cutest.
Really-- it needs no explanation? Because I am pretty sure if I saw a fence lined with those things, I would want an explanation!
Because "running out of things to bark at" is major quality-of-life issue for dogs. It's not like they can just bark at the wall when they're bored - oh wait.
Oh, we are so screwed.
Sounds like.
I have to admit, I am too much of a cheapskate to buy a cloth bag. All of mine have been free.
Me too. AND I forget to carry them! Ah well. I hate the earth.
Supposedly, the guy know a guy who'll tell us what to put on the paperwork. But he hasn't gotten back to me.
Ah well. I hate the earth.
Then why don't you just go and live someplace else?

Wordy McWordson. One of the things that causes dogs to suffer in the day to day periods when they must be alone is TOO MUCH STIMULUS. With no reason to bark, most of the time, they sleep!
Yes, boredom is a problem when a dog has been trained to expect stimulus or when they aren't tired out enough through exercise.
My number one tip for pooches who get over stressed at home is to limit their range. If a crate isn't possible, shade the windows and give them a nice place to snooze.
Jeez. I can see the frustration of dogs (like the hyper-breed Jack Russell shown in that ad) who are over stimulated with no outlet turning into aggression.

This is me...loads of gimme conference bags, mostly canvas. I did, however, just put them downstairs in a spot by the door that I hope will make me more likely to grab one when I go out.
That picture of the pooch porthole makes me laugh and laugh.
That's crazy.
My sister's dogs would love it. I think it would drive my sister crazy -- plus all the fences are shared --- so your neighbor is willing to give up privacy so your dog can bark?
