Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks for those numbers, Kat. Really really interesting. Makes me think of a guy I went to school with who was making a zillion dollars working for one of the big banks. He was like, "Yeah, they LOVE me -- I'm Puerto Rican but white, with an MBA. I can pretty much do what I want."

Our wings are not tired.

Dude, LSD inventor dead at 102. Maybe he was on to something. [link] (no, I do not think LSD is a good idea)

The numbers above are a big part of the reason I opened my own business 20 years ago. After we finished our Accounting BS degrees DH and I decided we didn't really want to do the accounting thing. Looks like I was right in my decision, but I should have made my white male DH go the corporate route.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I know my corporate attorney twin is pissed that DH is making more money than she is with his BS in actuarial science.

I'm praying boh my kids got the math gene.

Librarian Warlord

I used to resent my math prof sister for making more $ than I did (because I went to school for more years) but now I make more than she does . . . and now I just resent her because she gets summers off.

Sibling rivalry = one of the great motivators in life. I've tried to argue this to my (only child) husband.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm 22, and I don't like to wear make-up. I pierced my ears because of peer pressure when I was 8, had bad infection that kept me away from earrings ever since or the idea of causing myself any unnecessary pain behalf of appearance.

Seriously, Shir, stop being me. It's creepy. (Kidding!)

Just about the only time I wear makeup is at Buffista F2Fs. Regular nights out I might wear a little lipstick, but that's it. Never ever anything on my eyes because I hate they way all eye makeup feels.

And since I'm allergic to nickel, most jewelry gives me hives. I gave up trying to find wearable earrings years ago and the holes closed up.

I do love nail polish, but it's hard to find time to let them dry with a baby around. (I should bring my polish to work some day and get a lunch time manicure. Hmmmmm.)
