Police: Woman lived with partially mumified body of sister
DETROIT - Detroit police say they've found the partially mummified body of a woman in her 80s on the kitchen floor of a house where her mentally troubled sister was living.
Police say they believe the surviving sister had been living with the body for one to three years. They say the body was partially covered with newspapers and that a cat and dog apparently ate part of it.
The Detroit Free Press says authorities removed the surviving sister Wednesday night and took her to a crisis center. She's also in her 80s and appears to have mental problems.
That just made me unbearably sad, tommy.
It is incredibly heartbreaking to think no one was there to find that poor woman and her dead sister and end that horrid situation sooner.

The May-December thing doesn't ping me as being that problematic once the May partner is past the early 20s. I figure by that point, you're a grown-up and theoretically know what you want out of life, so more power to you. But college age young adults dating people old enough to be their parents gives me the impression of major issues lurking under the surface.

My first reaction to the mummified sister story was laughter and then struggling to come up with a good Psycho reference.
My aunt, who is a fount of Daddy Issues, is married to a man who is literally her father's age. Since my aunt is 50 and her husband is 85, the "older than college age" rule would seem not to apply, but in my experience, just because you are not 22 doesn't mean you've outgrown your issues.
