Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

WHERE IS THE BOARD GAME?

Bottom right drawer.

not your mom's socks.

WHERE IS THE BOARD GAME?

In the closet.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Claratin is working for me so far this year. We'll see how it does once the trees in NYC really start getting it on.

ION, I finally slogged through the original Open Source Asshat Gropery Project post, and good lord, what a load of self-entitled crap that was. I feel like I need a shower now to wash off all the bullshit I just waded through.

(And because I apparently hate my brain, I also read the apology post, and have nothing to add to what rm says here:

Too bad the owning was:

a) passive-aggressive
b) focused on women being afraid as opposed to women having the same rights to bodily integrity as men, regardless of whether they are afraid or not. I am sick of women being told they are afraid when they merely unprefer something.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Bottom right drawer.

Very very close. I looked in the tool closet, the office, the standing cupboards, the under-the-counter cupboards, the desk, my bookshelf, and most of those again two or three times... and it was in the below-the-counter above-the-cupboard drawers that I so often overlook that it was six months before I thought to store anything there. Whew!

Of course, now they've decided to play hackeysack with a ball of paper instead. Okay.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

(Skipping a little bit)

Hey All. Not only I'm joining the Oh What A Shitty Ass Day, I'm bringing a full design kit to sew a flag too.

First, last night, had to battle a mosquito. By the time I was finally tired enough to stop waiving my hands in the air and trying to kill it so it won't wake me up every time it comes flying near my head (I don't have any problem with the biting, as long as you keep it quiet, you bloody fiend), it was about 2 hours after my bedtime, which left me a wonderful 4 and something hours of sleep. Joy.

And then came this lj boobless initiative. Oh well, at least something made my eyes open this morning. You are all smart and right and witty about it, so I'll just add my two cents.
Few weeks back I thought about getting a shirt with a clear, simple "No." print on it. Not in a passive-aggressive way, but as a simpler way of trying to avoid from being asked a lot of questions; "Why won't you give me a smile, sugar?", "Can I have your number?", "Do you know how do I get to King George from here?" or "Righteous woman, would you like Sabbath candles?"
I don't think I'm a negative sociopath person, though some of my friends may disagree, but when it comes to dealing with the rest of the mankind here's the thing: I rather not. It takes time, effort, sometimes money, and most of the times I'll end up frustrated. I'm having enough trouble to clarify my thoughts to my friends as is, so to strangers? Almost no good can come out from that.
Anyway, I'm gonna get this shirt.

And then. I thought about hanging out in the city with a CouchSurfer, who seemed pretty nice. Incidentally, I went again to check his profile. There I saw a one big new "Extremely Negative" reference about him from another CS member, telling about this guy trying supposedly to sexually assault him. Reading between the lines, I could tell it was a huge misunderstanding and that things weren't the way the CS member described them, but I also got the feeling that the CSer I was planning to see wouldn't mind using CS as a dating site when he feels like it, which pisses a lot of women there, including me, off.
Anyhow, I canceled. This was just too much, and I didn't want to spend two hours of my life trying to clarify that I'm not interested. But what really pisses me off is the pseudo excuse of good people who are (ab)using the net and the good intention of other. Same as the open boob project.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going out to make sure this day will be better. I hope the stores downstairs open, I need ice cream.

Oh look, Shir is me. Hi me!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

"Righteous woman, would you like Sabbath candles?"

For some reason I am hearing this in my head in a keanu voice a la Bill and Ted! It is funny.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Avoiding the boob project discussion, other than to agree on the whole asshat issue.

ION, I haz dishes!! I ordered them after getting my birthday gift money from Mom and Dad, and finally picked them up at UPS yesterday morning. Filled up the sink with soapy water last night and washed them all after reorganizing my cabinets to make room for the entire set. Eight place settings of six pieces each (dinner and salad plates, bowl, mug, and adessert plate and cup which are both a lot bigger than the picture led me to believe and are both very pretty floral sculptural designs) meant that I had to really weed out my cabinets and add to my Goodwill box.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can there be any doubt that Shir was one of us long before she was one of us?

Also, I totally want a NO shirt in Hebrew.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Plus? Parking those rigs all parked with less than an inch between? Impressive. Phenomenal cosmic hauler, itty-bitty parking space.

I love that. Just wanted to see it again.

I can go to the south side to see a bunch of dorks play some songs, because the internets have tasked me with taking pictures and grabbing more of their adorably lame free CDs.

Which one is tonight? I've lost track of your schedule.

No wonder Shir fits in so well here...
