Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

not your mom's socks.

Bill Clinton and Michele Obama need to stop robo-calling me now. I did amuse DH with some fairly racy conversation with Bill. Not that he responded. but you know. Men.

We did a good deed last night & steered an Obama canvaser from Colorado to the really good veg/vegan restaurant up the street; then, when we saw him 2 hours later, headed in the totally wrong direction, got him pointed towards the place he was staying again.

Tuesday cannot come too soon.

Meara, you're a great zombie! vw - couldn't see the quilt (wah), but what a thoughtful gift.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh huh -- I can't seem to get any of the HD channels. I swear to god, I am drowning in first-world problems this week.

Yay painting Allyson!

And oh fuck. Just got an update from my friend. Her stepson ran away this morning. Last call originated from the number of a known dealer. Local police can't do anything without a warrant, but friend has connections who can do a trace at which point the locals can act, based on parent-provided info. Not sure of the legality of all that, but whatever. Not sure what they should do once (!) they get him home. He's angry at the world, and has 3 convenient targets. And he's working them. I'd be angry at him, but..I'm not. Angry he's doing this, sure. But. He's a hurting kid, a kid who has been hurt, making a fuckload of bad decisions but I'm not prepared to see him as iredeemable. Damnit.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Is anyone else watching this TV movie with Marlee Matlin? They just cut in for a weather report, and I missed what seemed like a pretty critical scene.

I just saw the section on the site where you can submit your own design, and if they like it, they'll use it, give you one of your own, and then give you 50% of the profits if any more sell. I MUST HAVE SWIRLY BATS ON MY WALLS.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Also, these weird symbols. Swirly bats, I guess. On a wall... and on flesh. A tattoo, and — t /Cordelia
