Seder is over, and we have a ridiculous amount of leftovers in the freezer. Part of that was because G's dad and stepmom weren't able to make it(One of SM's clients had to be taken to the ER, then tested, then admitted and SM has power of attorney), but there was an excess of food to begin with. Ah, well, nothing wrong with chicken soup with matzo balls in the freezer.

Daisy, have you heard "Creepin' Up the Backstairs"? I love that one.
I had a funny thought coming in from the balcony: I have a husband. Every time I come in from whatever door, Mister Kitty removes himself from my favored spot and comes to greet me enthusiastically. I can almost picture a fresh drink in his paw...ok, it breaks down there. But it is funny . Unfortunately, he's the wrong species, doesn't turn me on (thank god) and is waaay too needy. OK, still sounds weird, but it cracked me up.
I just got back from hanging out with a bunch of naked, sweaty Russian men....
OK, I exaggerated. Most were only mostly naked.
there are interesting things going on in the land of sarameg and tommyrot...
Oh, and I did the thing where I jumped in the pool of ice water after sitting in the sauna. Well, it wasn't actually ice cold, but it was fucking cold. It was a bizarre sensation - I have neurons in my skin I never knew existed....
I've got Wire in the Blood for my creepy understanding of the creepy, creepy bad people needs.
Ah, yes. I do love Robson Green on the scent of a criminal. The books were cool too.
I vaguely remember reading some meta about Mandy Patinkin leaving Criminal Minds. How was it handled in show (whitefont if it was recent enough to be spoilery for this season)?
The books were cool too.I need to read them.
How was it handled in showUnbelievably, mostly. Gideon was meeting an old friend from college and Frank the really insane guy from the previous season who killed lots of people but loved the not quite sane, Jane, killed the old friend from college. He had a crisis of faith. Disappeared. Left a strange letter for Dr. Reid at his cabin because Reid was the one who needed the closure. Sadly, he failed to leave one for the show's viewers. I think I got the names right.
As good as the first ep with Frank and Jane was, this one sucked and blew. I like to pretend there are meta reasons for this and that it wasn't just bad storytelling.
But there were a few *amazing* Garcia and Morgan eps. Things that weren't neat and really had to play out. Those, honestly, kept me around.
quick-and-dirty Manhattan chowder.
Nutty - thanks. did a variation on your variation (somewhat blander) that worked out fine. First time I've been able to handle real food in a few days.
Timelies all!
It was raining pretty hard, with thunder and lightning, here earlier.
