I just sent an email to the two current AP Lit teachers (both PhD...no, I'm not intimidated by them at
all
...) asking for their course outlines. Let me know when you have some time to meet. Maybe lunch this weekend?
In other job news, I am being interviewed by a
slew
of my colleagues and bosses on Monday for the 10th grade class dean position. Meep. The position is basically a class advisor--I'd have a slightly reduced teaching load, a tiny raise, and become the main coordinator/liaison for the grade.
Coffee: Is it Beth's birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
congratulations, Kat. It sounds exciting and like you are getting a little bit of a break
thanks for the more birthday happies
Am bored. In waiting room. Uncomfortable chairs. Classical music. Send help.
Start making up lyrics!
Commute home was made of stupid.
Car is making cranky noises (possibly a belt. Hope it lasts.) Will take it in Monday. Tired of car issues.
I want to do too much this weekend.
Gut being boggy.
Ehn.
Beth: Happy birthday!
Tom: Stud!
Kat: Rockstar!
Secret message to Polgara:
The apartment has not burnt down.
Okay--I have 14mg of dilaudid somewhere in my system mating with the morphine. I'm going to have a lie down.
WOOT! I got a job for the next school year. At a new high school. Two blocks from home!
Awesome, Kat! And a commute that can't be beat!
So, you're telling me with all this earthquake stuff that I left Indiana JUST IN TIME to miss the only exciting thing that's happened there all week? Grrrrreat.
Also: if you have four different twenty page documents to tell me how to login and change my password for the first time, perhaps your system needs to be made MORE SIMPLE?
Also, did not manage to get actual work done because of dealing with this ridiculousness. AAAAGH.
How does one cite a press release from a web site?
Allyson, I don't know what general style you have to follow, but this is how we do it in our journal:
Name of people/group/etc. Press release title. URL. Date accessed.
So, something like:
American Medical Association. Eating lots of chocolate every day will increase longevity. www. ama-this-is-not really their address.com (accessed 2008 Apr 18).
Congrats Scola!
Congrats Kat!
Happy Birthday beth!
I love bowling. That was a regular outing in MSP. I kinda miss that.
Name. The. Day. But, be forewarned, my bowling is as good as my pool.
