Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I have days like that, sarameg. So far today hasn't been one of them, but I still have a while to go.

At first glance the mommy-plastic-surgery book sounds appalling, but if you are going to have some sort of procedure and you're worried that your kid is going to freak out about it, it may what the doctor literally ordered. Also, there's more reasons to get plastic surgery than sheer vanity, like having been burned or in an accident or correcting congenital problems. "More pretty" covers a lot of ground....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sick definitely calls for delivery.

My 3 o'clock meeting was postponed, since one of the participants was on her way to baggage check at the Las Vegas airport, so it was a little noisy. Conference call with three people on cells = awesome. Not really.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Superman is Batman's boyfriend.
Clark Kent is Lex's boyfriend.

Usually not at the same time.

It's the "usually" that makes it interesting.

You should write this. Find one more (which, I think, probably Diana), and you can have a Five Things!

as long as it's not Lana.

All I was trying to do was copy some files off dvd to my disk. Except it turns out, my system can't mount my dvd drive. In order to get the files onto my disk, I must open the dvd on a pc, figure out how in the hell to change directories on the command line (mind you, I rarely use pcs, so this takes some trial and error to recall and the way this thing is configured is bizarre to begin with) ftp to my computer, except it won't let me, ftp to the network where I can't see my disk, push files, run up against the network disk quota, log in to my computer using a different application, move the files from the network to my disk, restart.

And just as I was trying to doublecheck that I'd copied all the files, I got the blue screen of death on the pc.

And I'm cold, because that room is cold.

All for 28 files.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

They won't deliver until 5 pm. So I went with the place around the corner, which coincidentally enough is the placed that was robbed at gunpoint last Friday, so I guess it's good I'm supporting local businesses?

Jesse, there should be a rule about no conference calls on cells. I once had a client try to be in a meeting by cell--at the airport. It was impossible.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

is the tiff settled? is co-worker the kind who likes to talk things through (a lot?) in private?

for the most part it's over. i still think he's a crybaby who runs to the office manager for no reason. we didn't even discuss the tiff. so i guess the answer to the second part is no. heh. olive branch successful, i suppose. i ended up driving, as well. so no chance of being stranded!

ION my eyes are burning like a mofo today. wonder what's in bloom...
