It's a task which requires attention and is important. Therefore I'm avoidant. Some years I'll have everything done mid-Feb, but this year I've let everything slide in just about every facet of my life. This is just one example.

I've been out of town almost constantly since Feb 8th. My taxes are complex and I always owe. I'm not even on time this year, I'm about to go mail my extensions.

No, it was just disorganization and procrastination on my part this year. I knew I'd get money back, and usually I have my taxes done by early February.
