Doesn't matter that we took him off that boat, Shepherd, it's the place he's going to live from now on.

HA! Denny's! I get weird high school flashbacks whenever I even contemplate going to one.

I remember in DC we used to have a Steak and Egg that was 24 hours and in walking distance. But man, you had to be desperate for that.

24 Diners are now lost on me. Early AM diners? Totally all over that. Like the Bob's on Riverside with the old time sign. They might be 24 hours but they are definitely open at 4 AM. As is Astro's on Fletcher in Silver Lake. We used to have breakfast every friday AM at 5:30.

I'm on day 3 of my reintro to yoga. It's like a whole new thing now. But I think I have a whole new body too (just not in a good way).

BWAH! Did anyone else see tonight's TDS? The section where the writers changed all the names on Jon during the "fallen British soldiers" nearly made me pee myself. So. Funny.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

That was last Thursday's TDS, Kristin, but yeah, SO funny.

We have the worst Denny's in the world near us. PMM might know it, because it is not that far a shot from Evergreen. Weirdest eggs even, major sanitation problems. Most of the people who work there won't take advantage of employee discounts because they know how the food is stored and cooked.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've been to a Denny's in Dayton, OH after last call. Can't recall how bad the food was.

I'm sure I've had worse.

I miss high school because my dad would always make us a home cooked greasy meal after drinking. Eggs, bacon and gravy. Yum.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Dude, Dennys! Hasn't everyone hung out at Dennys at some point in their lives? Of course in my neck of LA, the post-show spots to hang in HS were Cantors or Dolores'.

Apparently, there is this HUGE radio trivia contest here in town this weekend. There is a parade on Friday, it's round the clock all weekend.

My husband's boss' team came in 7th last year. He mentioned something about me joining their team when DH interviewed but I haven't heard from them so far.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Skipping lots just to say "Hey world!".

Now, getting back to the "reading all the internet I missed last night due to life". Oh yes, and work.

And I made banana muffins last night. I had to improvise with the recipe, a little bit, since it was in English and I couldn't understand what 1/c is, but all's well that ends well.

More coffee. Need.

Also in the "happened last night" section:

There's an extremely friendly street cat that hangs regularly around my building. I let him (or her, I didn't check) in from time to time, especially when it's cold outside. If I could only have it in my apartment, I would do so in a heartbeat.

Anyway, last night he sneaked into the building when I opened the door. Of course, he brushed itself against me like wonderful friendly cats do, and I showed it my appreciation. I entered the elevator, and it goes with me. I melt from cuteness. And then, a problem: I stand in front of my door, it wants to come in, I know I can't let it in.

So I called the elevator again, went down, trying to convince it to come outside (it was kindda late, I was afraid it might get stuck in the building whole night long). The whole thing repeated itself about 3 times. I could convince it to leave the building, but I was finally able to enter the elevator without the fuzzy escort.

That cat was so full with affection. You don't get to meet a lot of street cats like it.
