YAY Tom!
This weekend has sucked donkey doo. Yesterday was an annoying birthday party for one of mac's friends. A "party place" for kids where we had to keep moving around and it was loud and I thought poorly organized and went over 3 hours - also not accessible easily by train or bus.
Then mac woke up in the middle of the night with a fever and this morning managed to NOT keep down a banana. We clearly bailed on the birthday party he had today and FINALLY about an hour ago he conked out and had a nap. I feel confident in proclaiming him not the world's best patient.
That's awesome, Tom!
I'm done with my taxes! All I have to do is copy them tomorrow, and then I will be able to mail them ONE WHOLE DAY EARLY!
eta: Ugh. Poor Mac, and poor Rebecca.
oh msbelle, poor you and poor mac!
We woke up early, had an omelette and went to The Songkran Festival at the Thai Buddhist Temple not far from our house (in the picture, which I didn't take). There was the best chicken satay I've ever had, plus a cool building with awesome statues.
I think we must have looked confused because an ICE officer stopped to tell us what was happening.
Actually has not been that bad for me. I set him up in front of the tv and took a nap while he was at his whiniest and got up just as he was conking out. He seems to be feeling better and has has a half slice of bread and Gatorade. I hope he keeps it down and can make it to school tomorrow.
Yay Tom!
Poor Mac! There but for the grace of... Oh hell. we were there last week. Passing you our bottle of get-through-it.
Kat - that sounds & looks awesome.
Happy Birthday, Lilybean!! Three, though? Really? Wow.
Yay, Tom!
Feel better, Mac.
I eated too much at Ruby Tuesday. And I even brought stuff home. I feel myself slipping slowly into a food coma. Not that slowly, actually.
Yay Tom!
I think the best of all worlds is store that sells snacks, liquor, live bait and ammo. 'Cuz then you're pretty much set for the weekend.
There used to be a store here that had a sign advertising "Greeting Cards and Ammunition." A friend called it the "Hello and Goodbye" store.
I still haven't done my taxes. I made sure to buy a PC this weekend so I'd have no excuse not to, but sitting upright is wholly unappealling.
Horizontal and feeling sorry for myself. I should probably get back to at least the horizontal part of it--try and put a kibosh (is that what that means? never used it before) on the whiny thing.
Happy birthday to Lillian, and congrats to Tom. Oh, and hugs to sickie Mac. Has he seen The Princess Bride yet?
