Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Liese, your house is so lovely! wow.

I am so tired. The past two weeks have been beyond busy, hence I haven't been around to post, etc. But I think life is going to calm down for a bit. I hope.

Our wings are not tired

I'm aboard the cross country mouse wagon. There is an infant in the seat in front of me. Spork me now.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

And I'm in a turtleneck.

I was in a wool sweater. Now I'm in a tshirt.

It is, and I'm totally unequipped to deal.

Poor girl

Kristen, I swear I was trying to figure out what I knew about those magazine sellers, and of course it was the L&O not the Times piece.

I'm so glad it wasn't just me!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Never. Not if it's about L&O, anyway...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Aw. my fridge and stove have a rebate for free delivery, so I sent an e to my parents telling them I'd send it in this week and have the check sent to them.

They sent me this:

Allyson,

Mom says to keep the rebate and buy whatever you can for your new fridge.

We are both very happy for you,and we wish you the best of health, happiness and spirit in your new apartment.

We love you very much.

Mom and Dad

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Awwww!

I had a pleasant and mostly fun afternoon, but got very little work done. Now I'd better force myself to do just a little programming. ::looks fierce::

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

From way back, thanks for the offer, but it looks like S&S is repeating on PBS this weekend so I've set the Tivo. Of course, I've yet to watch Mansfield Park or P&P so I'm not sure when I'll actually get around to watching it.

Ooh, thanks for the heads-up.

Also, Susan, my sis and her roommates have been on a total Austen kick recently, and I had, um, borrowed, one of their DVDs which they spent hours looking for. But! I was able to totally skate out of the situation by loaning them the BBC dvds you gave me. Whoo-hoo!

Also, if that kid left your home with all him limbs intact, you get an A. Seriously.

ION, I tried to leave work early at like 2:30 today because I was just so exhausted. I had stuff to do, but I knew I'd do better if I just went home and sat on my couch and tackled it there. I even had my computer shut down.

Then I made the mistake of mentioning to my boss an (actually pretty good) idea I had, and instead of getting added to some list, she wanted to move right away, and then the Americas Chief of PR is at my desk asking questions, and then we're planning out the whole goddamn thing right now. And then that keeps me there long enough that someone calls on a whole 'nother project that needed fires put out.

Feh.

Well, he was bigger than me, and the knives are in the kitchen. And I haven't invested in a sword YET.
