What is one good thing from your day so far?

My wife and daughter are coming home.

Well, the wife has been home already. We just need to get the daughter to complete the set.

Liese, it's amazing!

I don't think I'd seen a picture of Seabiscuit before. He's an adorable and striking dog!

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Liese! Your house is gorgeous! You have such a great sense of style.

Today is Student-Led Conference Day, when every student presents her progress over the semester and shares work she's done, etc. to her parents with her advisor present. The conferences are 30 minutes long, and I have seven advisees.

My very first conference was at 7:30 this morning, and because of the accident in the Sepulveda Pass, I didn't get here until 7:32 and had no time to stop for coffee or food.

My first family?

Brought me a large mocha and a muffin.

LOVE.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Liese, that is AMAZING! Yay, house!

I can't even think about Owen without cringing right now, Cash. good god! owowow.

Fortunately, he's healed. He rubbed some chocolate frosting on it and has forgotten about the owie.

I decided to break out the cake early since we're not having a party per se. Then I spent an hour figuring out how to put together his birthday present.

And the clothes I ordered from Childrens' Place FINALLY came in.

I've sent a text to our babysitter. I hope she can babysit tomorrow so DH can enjoy some trivia fun with me. We haven't established the team's war room yet so I'm not sure where we're meeting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, I just got an email from the person with possibly my favorite name ever. It's practically Cleopatra Jones, but not quite.

What is one good thing from your day so far?

I left therapy this morning feeling more positive than I have in a long time.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I would love a partner, but I don't think I could ever trust someone who would pick me if they had ANY other choice.(Mostly, people don't, you know.) And like, what's most attractive? The sarcastic attitude, the joblessness, the assloads of debt, or the way I always have to have help around? Yeah, that's hot.

Smart, pretty, funny. The sarcasm is clever, not offensive. I do understand the awful self-image thing, cause I have it too. But it is bullshit in both your case and mine.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What is one good thing from your day so far?

It's kind of neutral. I thought work had disabled gchat, and I was getting super-angry about the continued march of profits/billable hour widgets over MY HAPPINESS IN PROCRASTINATING but it turned out it was just a technical glitch. So I'm still residually angry and scared about work but at least I can still bug Bob Bob all day.

Look at that dog flying a helicopter! Fun!

I read this and thought no, it was Consuela who rode in the helicopter. The dog is Liese's.

Hrm. Perhaps I need to focus a little more.
