I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Denny's is where we used to go between bar close at 6 a.m. and bar open at 8 a.m. (I was 21, okay?) It was the closest place, and gave us lots of coffee.

But! In Minnesota, we ate at Perkins all the time. (Not our Perkins.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have not only eaten at Denny's, I worked there (graveyard shift) to pay for my sophomore year of undergrad.

Third shift at the IHOP. I feel your pain.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

If I am in a Denny's it is probably 2:30 am.

in unrelated news I just took a phone call for my boss from a long-ago secret work crush. I pretty much had forgotten this girl even existed and now she is back in my head with her freckled arms and her casual boyishness. Stupid unexpected phone calls.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

In Minnesota, we ate at Perkins all the time. (Not our Perkins.)

I ate at Perkins when I visited the University of Wisconsin at Madison!

When I was a kid, we always used to stop at Denny's in Socorro for brunch when we drove north. For the longest time, it was the most convenient choice (now there are many more options.) Coming back, it was often Dairy Queen for dinner.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've done the late night Denny's thing myself. In Michigan. Outside of Michigan there seem to be more alternatives.

Today has been much of a waste of a day. But I have learnt that UCLA Medical Center intends to change how it deals with migraine sufferers due in at least some small part to my stupid headaches. This includes having an acute treatment facility of sorts so we don't have to keep hitting up the ER.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Denny's is a bar for suburban teens. Not only that, we used to go there every Saturday when I was a 3L for about six hours and do our homework and smoke.

oh yeah they did let us smoke, didn't they. It was the beer cans under the table that finally got us kicked out.
