It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, what was the thing at the event Perkins went to? A nacho cheese fountain?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Not sure about the catering thing.

I'm attempting making bread again. This one is, so far, much messier than the other one. Seems like it'll taste good, though. Even though the recipe tells you to knead it when it's still a blob of sticky goo, and "add flour as neaded until and knead until it is elastic rather than sticky." Yeah. As this stuff sticks to every surface in my kitchen

Trying very hard to behave over here.

Ah, yes, the cheese was dipped in the fountain. I knew there was cheese in the picture.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

We are about to start completely decluttering as well and I'm not looking forward to the process (thought I'm really looking forward to the results).

Same here. We got into this weird thing with the new place where a few months after we moved in, we found out the owner was selling, so we didn't know if we'd be able to renew the lease. That effectively ended any desire I had to unpack the rest of the boxes in the garage and the basement. Turned out we were able to stay another year after all, and now I need to find the box or two with all the Official Important Documents, such as my birth certificate (need a new passport!) and a contract whose terms I need to review in the next month or two.

Assuming the inheritance comes through (if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise and all that), next time we'll move it'll be into a house we've just bought, which feels like a good reason to actually weed all the crap instead of just leaving it in boxes. And, you know, I really need that birth certificate and that contract sooner rather than later. But my initial goal is to just get the house more or less clean, and THEN deal with all the boxes...

Our wings are not tired

Okay, so I'm reviewing the insurance documents for my business since it's time to renew policies and I'm actually changing to a new policy since my old business insurance quit covering my type of work. Anyway, one of the new pieces is a form on whether or nor I want terrorism insurance. You have GOT to be kidding me. Part of me doesn't want to do it since it's an additional $100 on the premium, but I also can forsee it being used as a way to refuse coverage. Gah!

brillig

I wonder how they're defining terrorism--does it cover any civil disturbance, such as a crowd getting rowdy at a show?

They define terrorism coverage as kicking in for losses resulting from certified acts of terrorism. I'm not sure what that means.
