[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Other thing that's driving me batty -- my students are required to maintain a certain GPA to keep their scholarship (tuition, fees, room, board, books). Their GPA is calculated every year, and based only on the fall and spring grades of that year. They are informed every year that there is no appeal process.

I have had SIX students come to me and tell me that they're losing their scholarships and is there anything that they or I can do. This is before the official notice is out. I'm sure that I'll have more soon. ARGH.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I would like to note that generic Zyrtec is the mack daddy at stomping my allergies.

The downside is that it also puts me in a zombie-like state of perpetual sleepiness.

I love reading the craigslist personals (except they kinda depress me too).

I could've posted this one. But I didn't

Always Anti-fascist!

I used to consider it a point of great pride to seldom play the crip card, make deadline with diarrhea, etc. Well, look what I got for it. I'm macha. Nobody cares. (If I had it to do over, it'd be different.) They were supposed to let me play. This America.

Mostly lurking...

I would like to note that generic Zyrtec is the mack daddy at stomping my allergies.

Steph, how much does the generic run? We've talked about switching me back, now that it's over-the-counter (my insurance wouldn't pay for it before), but the Zyrtec is too cost-prohibitive for me right now.

In my clusterfuck of a day news, I rock. Due to my searching, I found a company that not only has a contract with Medicare/MassHealth, but they are delivering my new nebulizer at 4:00 today. I don't even have to go pick it up. GO ME! GO THEM!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was very Jars-like in college. I went to a small private college with accessible professors and I totally did not know how to take advantage of that. I had one prof tell me "I don't see anyway I can pass you in this class" when I turned the last assignment of the semester in and I said something like "Yeah, okay, I have this other exam to take, gotta go." He gave me a D, I failed the other exam. I was actually kind of mad that he had passed me because I really didn't understand the subject.

I don't remember -- I got it at CVS. It's more expensive than generic Claritin is.

I'd bet that you could get it cheaply at Costco or Sam's Club, though.

Go you!

So far today I have put everything in the pantry in boxes, put all of my clothing in boxes, and boxed up all of my CDs. I really need a nap but there's so much more to do.

Tep, Can you try the 12-hour-with-ephedrine-we-need-ID-to-give-it-to-you Zyrtec? I get no sleepiness with that one.

Javachick, I know where all of those cupcake places are, but only ever eat ones from Violet Cakes (of those listed). Though Violet Cakes have the stupidest most inconvenient hours ever. Their cupcakes are lovely.

But Yummy Cupcakes are my fave. My friend Jane turned 81 last friday and I brought her a half dozen. Last year, when she turned 80, they got her 80 cupcakes from Sprinkles. She said that Yummy Cupcakes tasted better.
