Is it too early to go to bed?I vote no, no it is not too early to go to bed. I would like to sleep until the weekend.
Vortex, yep, I know, and I am going to talk to her. I'm just stressed about the situation and bummed that I don't get to see the doctor I liked so much.
You need new HMOI found in LA that a lot of good medical offices don't take any HMO insurance plans. It seems to be PPO or nada. I lost my original PCP down near school a year after I moved to California because she decided she could no longer afford to have HMO patients. The only reason I was able to find a PCP in my current group is because she's relatively young and still building her practice. She'll probably ditch her HMO patients in a couple of years, too, and it will be back to the drawing board. Sigh. Wish my school would pay for better insurance coverage, but I know it's a pipe dream.
Anyway, don't mean to be all glum. It will work out. I'll have ND pick up the slip for the chest x-ray some time tomorrow (if they'll let him...I hadn't thought about that) and try to get to the radiology place as soon as I can. I'll deal with my PCP when she calls with the results.
ETA:
I've got a student who's sending me emails literally begging me to move her grade from an A- to an A. I don't know how to respond to this, since she's not really getting any way I've tried saying "no."
Hil, I would respond with something like, "Dear [Student], The grade you received is what you earned during this semester. As I have said, I do not change grades. I will not reply to further emails asking me to do so. I wish you all the best in your future studies. Sincerely, [Your Name}
