Ok (1) Work does not include a barfy kid, (2) Work does not include staring at my house hoping someone else will fall in love with it and want to pay ooooodles of dollars to have it, (3) Work does include my new position being OFFICIAL, (4) Work does include me being able to finish a task and get that feeling of accomplishment, and finally (5) Work does include a lunch in my honor, thanking me for 15 years of organizing office morale events.

What is even happening?
Hi, everyone. Scott and I met P-C the other night, which was very nice. I had to leave early-ish though, because I developed some sort of throat-fever ick, and there wasn't even too much candy involved.
Bilibo reminds me of the hat that Fat Albert character used to wear. It's a positive bargain in comparison to the other toys this retailer sells. I hope all those playthings come in sturdy cardboard boxes, because that's what kids really like -- cardboard boxes. And newspaper.

Well, it's nice to see that 16 years later I'm *still* being told by academic advisors that my choice of degree is "pretty unmarketable" and that I should consider becoming bilingual in Spanish.

(Which, no offense to anyone who is one. But the ones I've encountered didn't tend to blow you away with their dynamic potential. It's such a potentially important, life-changing role and yet so often it seems to be occupied by people who seem to be completely lacking in imagination or enthusiasm.)
