Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Stumbled onto this adorable mother/daughter shoe photo on Flickr:

I took a picture at the SF2F where Aimee and Em have on matching pink Chucks, although from the way Em's feet are splayed, her shoes aren't immediately obvious, but you *can* see them.

I thought it was first two? Doesn't make a difference to me. I'll be in first iteration of the second round.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I should be getting my tax incentive on Monday.

Huh. So should I.

Make sure they're in Canada while your at it.

Mine will be going into the house fund (as I call my savings these days) so it will be spent, just not any time soon. I suppose I should get an ING account instead of the one I have, but me = lazy.

Mostly lurking...

Dear Incompetent Group Members,

The title of the article is NOT an appropriate citation. I should not have to got searching for every one of your articles to do the Annotated Bibliography.

Also, one sentence is not enough of an annotation, but at this point, I don't care. You can look stupid.

No love, vw bug

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

So I've now remembered my dreams for three nights in a row, and at least last night's can't be interpreted as anxiety about my mom. It was more a rehash of the baby name discussion here from yesterday.

I dreamed we had another baby, a little girl, one who for some reason DH and I decided looked like her name was Nona. But when we got her home, I was sort of appalled at myself, because I hadn't given my child a classic name with History behind it, but DH said we couldn't start calling her Eleanor or anything after calling her Nona for three days. But I was insistent that she couldn't just be Nona, and so I came up with Winona. But then I worried that since the name is Dakota and we're not, it would be Inappropriate Cultural Appropriation.

My subconscious, she is a weird thing some nights.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I had a dream about thread proliferation where each new thread was a tiny little room in a japanese tea house. If you created a new thread it would be half the size of the previous thread until the newest thread (the one I created) was so tiny that nobody could get inside it and people were yelling at me to get inside because they couldn't get past me to get to Natter and I started to cry but then it changed into a sex dream so it was OK afterall.

I think that dream means you're subconsciously afraid of snakes.

eta Err, Susan's dream. Yours is about the fear of the color orange.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Schedule.

I don't know what to do with mine. Buy comic books? That helps the economy, right?
