They just gave me my two weeks notice.
Fuck!
the doctor's diagnosis is pneumonia.
Double Fuck!
Sorry to hear about both those. Maybe it's a sign for you both to spend some time writing! (playing spin doctor, work with me here!)
IOlesscrappyN. I had my follow up with doc for the gall bladder. Due to Malignant Hyperthermia condition, the doc waved off the removal, since I'm not showing any signs of problems. Yay! Did not want to go under the blade. And right now, not the time.
So... some good news for us bitches! I say, we need more! Go forth and bring back good news. Lift the spirits!
oh, and going way back (as I had over 200 posts to skim through:
I'm afraid that the next one will have a "boring" name.
um. Empress Pregnant? (see this is how rumors start)
Empress Pregnant?
Sadly, no. Though I would love to be.
Oh yuck. I'm sorry, MM/Aims and Kristin/ND. That's sucky news.
the doctor's diagnosis is pneumonia
When I had pneumonia during my teen-aged years. I'd complained that I felt terrible for a week or two and my mother (who has a nursing degree and a teaching degree) decided I was trying to skip out of classes so she took me to the doctor fully expecting him to justify her reading me the riot act. I came out of the examining room with a huge smile on my face and told her I had pneumonia - thus marking the first moment I can really remember knowing that my mother owed me a huge apology.
Feel better soon, Kristin.
Also, my SIL's mother snores. Loudly. My room is above hers. I'm exhausted and can't sleep. Grrrrr...
Earplugs! Sorry you're sleepy.
DEAR UNIVERSE,
IT IS APRIL. STOP TRYING TO PULL THIS MARCH SHIT, OKAY? WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE.
And there must be something in the air Etsy-wise because Tep is the THIRD person to have sent me to that vendor this morning, and I haven't even finished my first cup of coffee yet.
DBLOSND
If I saw this on a car in front of me, I'd probably come up with "D blows ND" and wonder how it got through. Unless, of course, it was on a vehicle that said, "Diablo Sound" on it, in which case totally never mind.
Aw, thanks for all the sympathy.
But I do haveta say it's not unexpected. This is a temp job and it's actually pretty gracious of them to give me two weeks notice rather than a "Thank you, we won't be requiring your services after today" as so often happens to temps.
And they said they thought I was super-awesome and all that and even offered me letters of recommendation if I should need them. It's just that they wanted someone with a much stronger HR background with all sorts of certification that I don't have and they don't want to wait for me to get and I understand that.
So, it's cool. It's not SUPER-cool, but it's cool.
That's a bit better, indeed.
I hope you can find a good job or temp job to start at the end of the two weeks.
I'm told if you tell prospective employers you want to minimize down time between jobs, they take notice.
As for the rest, what Windsparrow said.
Totally unrelated, this ICHC entry overloaded both WS and my "awww" meters: [link]
