I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Buffy ,'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks sj! I'm looking forward to seeing how same/different it is when he gets here. I imagine there's tons he could make fun of Texas for.

Mostly lurking...

So, the webcast didn't suck. May share a link in my LJ, though I think most people will find it overly medical and not vw enough. It was well-done, though, and I am pleased I was a part of it. They did end up ending with video of me talking, which was kind of cool. I watched it with my therapist. I brought snacks from Trader Joe's, and we munched on gourmet popcorn and chocolate covered blueberries throughout. It was kind of funny. She cheered every time I came on.

So, the group members still suck, though that probably doesn't surprise most people. Group leader has completely fallen off of the planet, and our prof suspects the same thing I do...he's fundamentalist and is offended by our critical remarks of fundamentalists. So, he's disappeared and may or may not return. Which means, someone has to pick up the slack of what he was supposed to present...which was the historical and contextual background. Kind of important. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

DJ, let me know if he does a very funny bit about Noah's Ark. I won't spoil it.

Ok! Can you wait until June? I mean, I can't, but can you?

Absolutely! And I wanted to tell you I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get together with you when we were in Dallas. Next time I need to be better about planning.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

hey, hivemind, anyone have a good source for tshirts? I need to do 15-20, so not enough volume for a printer, but I'm trying to avoid cafe press

move out and draw fire

Zazzle? They do better work than cafepress anyway.

which was the historical and contextual background.

You'd think if he was in fact fundamentalist, he'd be all over this.

Thirst was pretty good for a YA vampire book.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I read the hot new teenlit vampire sensation Twilight' a couple of months ago, and it just about made my head explode.

Yeah, that was my reaction to Twilight. But, I have to say that New Moon and Eclipse are better. They're not the Best YA Vampire Books EVAH!, tho. For those I will point you at the Vampire Kisses series (silly name, great books) and the Morganville Vampires series (written by the same woman who writes the Weather Warden books, which I have not yet read).

I am SO TIRED of being sick.

No worries! Don't y'all normally hang out in North Dallas? It's kind of a bitch to get me up there anyway. Oooooh! Next time you come I could show you our cool new offices with the spa room, the Lodge and beach rooms, the room with the keg box and the pool table and the wine cellar (originally the library).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I am back from Detroit and am now headachey and exhausted and I do NOT want to go to class tonight, but I have to.
