Ann, that's a ferret.

to take UNC-CH's money and attend college there

Excellent choice. Although having to choose between UVA and UNC is one of the good dilemmas.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

You think you could find a spot for it in your house? Because I'm thinking I'll make two of them due to the way I'll have to order the fabric.

I'd MAKE room!!

YAY Dylan!! What's that sweet boy? You don't want a present from your mommy? You want what? OH! What a sweet boy you are! You want mommy to buy herself something. Something shiny? Like a piece of jewelry? OH! You sure do know your mommy, I'm sure she'd love an electronic gadgety-something instead. Smart boy.

Mostly lurking...

I'd MAKE room!!

I thought you might :). I actually have a really cool plan about how I want to make it, but I won't share so there is a little surprise.

Of course, you know how good I am at actually getting projects done, so by the time I finish, it might be a surprise! I'm planning on at least ordering the fabric soon, though.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Well, I am back at work, having stayed home with unspecified stupid fever and general aches and blah-itis.

Still not really awake, but pretty sure I'm better.

Fever dreams are freaky. I can't remember specifics, but I do recall waking up at some point in the night, drenched in sweat and saying "What the hell was THAT?!" Then passing directly back out.

Absolutely! [Now all eyes turn to my nephew next in line... he is not academically inclined and is looking for a fluff major at East Tenn. State so that he won't be bothered with too much work so he can minor in Bluegrass [one cannot major in Bluegrass, apparently]. At least, this is what he is driving his mother crazy with right now.]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Bwah! Empress ftw!

East Tenn. State so that he won't be bothered with too much work so he can minor in Bluegrass

Warren Wilson College in Asheville has some good music majors... and a strong eco program, should he feel the need for a backup course of study.

eta: granted, there's the work-component that goes with it.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

having to choose between UVA and UNC is one of the good dilemmas.

For reals. Great job!

I'm pretty sure the nephew could major in Bluegrass at Appalachian state. Or in grass, anyway.

some good music majors

It's the Bluegrass thing that he knows drives his parents nuts -- because, how can they discourage it when they've brought him up on it and being a Bluegrass musician was his father's dream job? He's very good at knowing what will put them in a bind.
