Yeah... That went well.

Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I'm amazed by the awesomeness of Owen's teacher. For the record, I cannot imagine making such an offer. Hell no. So mad props to her!

Erika - sorry to hear about your morning. Bloody annoying.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm just glad that the chief excitement of my work day was me setting the fire alarm off. The oven in that kitchen desperately needs to be cleaned. It's a self-cleaning oven, and only one person there knows the trick to starting the cleaning cycle. I am not she. The good news is, all of the residents responded quickly to our prompts to evacuate the building. The not-stroke and so not too bad news on the emergency from yesterday is fainting due to anemia/electrolyte imbalance.

Laura, I'm definitely praying for Little Grandma.

Our wings are not tired

I probably have a spare router around here somewhere. I usually have a few of them.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So I got a response from the latest potential future wife (we'll call her JFO). As I suspected, I got stuck in her spam filter, since Gmail hates me.

She sounds like a normal enough girl. There's something casual and refreshing about her response (which seems to amount to "I work a lot and have very little free time"), but she didn't respond to a single thing I said in my e-mail, so I have no idea what she thought about any of it. Well, except for the one thing:

About this whole process...not the biggest fan of it...I've been put in some pretty awkward situations, so getting an e-mail from you is def not the worst.

So I'm not the worst! That's...a start.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Ya, I read that mid day/mid catch up & forgot to say. I'm not a parent, but that is of the awesome. O's teacher gets a cookie! A batch of them!
Omnis, try a hard reset. It's usually the little recessed hole in the back of the router that you can push in and hold in a straightened paper clip for about 20 seconds.
Then connect to it and set it up again.
If this doesn't work, post in the tech thread the model you have and maybe we can help.
Also consider checking for a firmware upgrade.
Ya, done, done, and done. The reset did start to show flicker between the LED's, but no DHCP. I'll bring over to tech thread. Thanks D.

That'd be swell if I can't get this one going again. Thanks!

Mostly lurking...

Suzi, that is some GPA. I'm jealous! Tell that girl that I say hello and YAY!

I had the strangest dream. It incorporated just about every aspect of my life right now. It was totally an anxiety dream, but kind of a funny one. One of the parts was about putting together this powerpoint presentation. I decided that since our group was reporting on Fundamentalism, I would use a demon background and Buffy lettering. My brain is a strange, and sometimes disturbing, place.

Bwahaha! And you can tell the others in your group that you are getting more help from your subconscious than you are from them.

Ok, that's probably not as productive as it would be in an episode of Gilmore Girls, but I'm enjoying the scene playing out in my head.

You know what's most frustrating to me about the whole thing? We have a girl in our group who's father died this semester. And you know the ONE person who gets EVERYTHING to me on time? It's her. And the one person who recognizes how much I'm doing and has offered to bring me coffee and chocolate? It's her. It actually makes me extra angry at everyone else.

Our wings are not tired.

skimmin' post

Yay for race fun, with pics!

Raises glass of champagne with Laga. Yum. Mostly I love reds, and the rare white. I don't like sweet at all, except for the occasional diet orange soda.

Nice Earth Day card, Teppy. I promised myself I'd get to the beach yesterday to celebrate, but maybe today. Spoiler for Beverly on card One gentleman to another "I'm helping improve the environment by shitting outdoors."

Sweet GPA there, K-Bug. My kids, not so much.

Yay P-C! We could have told you that you weren't the worst.

vw, I'd be delighted to be in your group, or your dream. And I'd be helpful, promise.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Laura, I'm so glad Little Grandma came through ok. Continued ~ma for her recovery.

Kettle's on and the kids are still asleep. This is an amazing gift I'm going to savor.
