hooray Jessica, DH & Dylan!
Andi - it sounds like you were there exactly when you were needed and able to do what needed to be done. That is huge. (and by that, I don't mean pastries. though you should treat yourself to something today, no?)
WS, glad you were there when the resident keeled over - and glad it sounds like they're recovering. It might have been a TIA - similar symptoms to a stroke, but people tend to recover quickly.
A friend once told me about getting a truly terrifying call from her mother (who lives about a six-hour drive away) who was hallucinating. Turned out it was some new medication that she was reacting to, but there was still the six or so hours of panic as they drove up to make sure she was OK.
huh, that was odd, my post was bold.
I read this and thought, "Well, that was good. You had something to say, and you said it. It was assertive, but I don't think overly s... oh."
(pours coffee through the internet for Emily)
What an excellent idea. Lovely Toddson.
maybe a couple of onion rings
I know I haven't even had breakfast yet (though my oatmeal is sitting next to my keyboard, cooling off enough for me to eat), but now I want onion rings. Mmm. Big, thick, hand-cut, batter-dipped and fried onion rings.
Unfortunately, the only coffee I have access to at the moment is the stuff from our office machine. Weak and bitter. And, today, COLD.
The full song for those who care. (Not sure why this is on Youtube when it's not actually a video, but eh, whatever.)
Yay Dylan! Sleep is such a lovely thing.
If I recall, we have some Hello Kitty fans here, so I thought of you when I saw this headline:
