Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm supposed to learn a new word today and it's not too late. What's your favorite obscure word?

Taradiddle. And there must be some way to work that, tatterdemalion, and tater tot into a single sentence. There simply must be.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. Taradiddle and tommyrot are synonymous....

Although taradiddle sounds like something Willow might do....

Punishingly Intricate

"Saying tater tots are not the most awesome form of the potato is a bunch of taradiddle!" exclaimed the tatterdemalion as she wiped crumbs from her garbage-picked sweater.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The airport is extra crowded today because it was closed yesterday. We don't have seats together on either flight because they are totally full. No sleeping on TCG's shoulder today.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, good Word Power, lisah.

I think the DC hero Ragman was called something like the Tatterdemalion Avenger.

::waits for Ple to correct him. Or Victor::

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I need vocabulary help. Basically, I have two fields in a database, one with broad topics (history, science, literature) and one with more narrow ones (chemistry, physics, biology). The database works in such a way that each clip can be assigned one value from each list.

Anyway, I need to decide what to call the lists of values without making them just "topic" and "subtopic." Suggestions?

It's a brave person who can venture outside before caffeination.

...you expect me to be capable of making caffeine prior to HAVING caffeine? Crazy. This is one reason to be in Seattle. The caffeine is everywhere. Excellent stuff.

Just had a quick talk with the producer, there will be compensation.

Yay!!

One of my friends is most awesome, and has been meeting me for breakfast several times a week. While I am in no way awake enough for company when I meet her, by the time I've rolled out of bed, met her, coffeed, and walked home, I'm awake enough that I don't go back to bed. Which is really the point of the whole thing.

Field and specialty?

Taxonmy! How about "Field" and "Specialty"? Or can you not name a field "Field"?
