"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

In Crime Makes You Stupid news, police just arrested a guy who took a cab from his house to a bank, asked the driver to wait, held up the bank and got back in the cab. Witnesses noted the name of the cab company, and the company told the police where they picked him up. The news anchor said, "Witnesses say he threw crack cocaine out of the window when the police came, which may explain his poor decision making."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. We had a guy on the news this morning filled out a job application while--um, waiting? I guess?--to rob the gas station.

Congrats, vw. Any word on when you'll defend?

I don’t exactly have to “defend.” I have to do a 30-minute presentation with a question/answer time with the director and assistant director of the honors program, my thesis adviser, at least one of the readers, and whoever else wants to come give me a hard time :). It’s pretty low-key and doesn’t impact my grade at all. I’m actually kind of looking forward to it. It should be later this month or very early May. My study buddy and I are hoping to present right after each other, which will be followed by a BIG ASS PARTY! So, look for more details on that!

Loves on Sean!

Fred Pete, I know vw's in the honors program and all, but I don't think people defend bachelor's theses. Could be wrong.

And Emily gets it in one!

Oh. Dear. Some people aren’t very bright, are they?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

WHY am I watching Two and Half Men?

This was funny though:

Alan: Trust me, there is no better feeling than having a little nest egg to fall back on
Charlie: There are at least eight better feelings.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am very slowly getting my apartment in order. So far, I have cleaned out the pile of junk that collected in front of my door, gotten rid of all the clutter in the area in front of the TV, gotten all the clothes that were lying around either put away, in the hamper, or in the laundry, cleared everything except the stuff that's supposed to be there off my kitchen counter, and dustbusted my bathmat. Next step is the pile of clutter in front of my bookcase, and making my bed with the new blanket I just bought. (My apartment gets overheated in the summer, and I tend to just kick off the blanket, but then I get a little too cold, and the bed without a blanket looks all messy, so I came up with the brilliant idea of buying a light-weight blanket for the summer.)

I'm chatting with my cousin's oldest on gmail chat. He cracks me up. He's also at the age where he uses a different emoticon between every other word. Cracks me up.
