Spike's Bitches 40: Buckle Up, Kids! Daddy's Puttin' the Hammer Down.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Can't be your ass. You don't have one.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

And the idea of Oral History as literature isn't widely accepted...that's a big part of my argument. I was more commenting on the quality, not the idea. Sorry!

I can see how Oral History as Lit might take some convincing, in some corners. And there was totally no offense taken, so nothing to be sorry about. I was amused that you did make the connection to high school, though.

Jess, I'm sorry to hear D. is feeling icky again. Hope he can get healthy again quickly, and you can be back to work soon.

Susan, I do hope you kick this cold/flu soon.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Aren't you the one in the same state with them?

Yes. And?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I dropped my puppy girl off for her spay operation this a.m., and I jump every time the phone rings hoping that it's news she's out of surgery and doing well.

Oh my. Our little girl is growing up. Pretty soon, she'll be begging to run off leash in traffic because all the cool pups are doing it.

Quick, easy and healing vibes winging northward.

In other puppy news, I love the name on this little guy: [link]

Even better? Meaty is a girl. I predict the wee bairn in that family named the critter her very own self.

See what letting daughters run riot will wreak?

Seriously, best wishes for Sassy girl barely noticing her travail.

OMG I am so sleepy. Need cake NOW!

I'm crashing too. I went to bed late, late, late last night (or early morning) but I felt pretty good when I got up. Now? It's greying up to rain outside and I fear I will not be able to keep my eyes open.

But I just got showered and changed! But, I have stuff to do?

Drowse fairy, go away!!

Speaking of which (sort of, um barely) did anyone else hear Peter Segal yesterday on NPR hating Horton Hears a Who because a girl didn't get to save the world (etc)? Peter S. needs to watch some Buffy. [link]

Thanks. I heard from the surgeon, and she's doing great. (But I can't wait to get her home.)
